My name is Sam Shin and I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Computer Science. Throughout my time there, I always knew that I wanted to go down the project management route due to the fact that I found most of my satisfaction from planning what needed to be done and seeing the incremental progress of whatever project I was working on.
Growing up, I played soccer, baseball and volleyball. Although those sports are fundamentally different, they all taught me the same lesson, you can’t win on your own. Collaboration and teamwork has always been the cornerstone to my success both academically and in my interpersonal relationships. There is always something to be learned everyday, and a quote my father would often recite is that, “if you are the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room”.
During my time off from work, you can find me hiking local trails, discovering new restaurants with my family, or playing games with my friends.
