The Challenge

The challenge in any label site is the sheer number of different types and sizes of labels. Maintaining the product data can be very tedious, and just about impossible to do without custom coding and custom import tools. The LabelsDirect.com customers also may search for a label, or ribbon, in many different ways. In an older version of the site, we use nested category structure, which created multi clicks deep to finally get to view products. While this was getting the job done, we realized that better segmented data would help conversion rates and give the customer an overall better buying experience.

Being a B2B site, many customers reorder regularly, at the same frequency. The goal was to provide their customers a way to streamline their procurement process.

The Solution

To eliminate the possibility of too many clicks, reductive navigation was a must. A customer can filter by one or many different attributes and drill down to the product that fits their use or need. From an admin perspective, Labels Direct has tools that allow them to easily maintain all product data for easy updates and maintenance.

Implementing a continuity program provides a recurring revenue stream for Labels Direct, and allowed their customers to create their own frequency of shipments of their labels.
