Nisco's parent company - Centro - acquired Nisco in 2012. Nisco is a supplier of flow products to industry including pressure gauges, industrial thermometers and valves.

We first met with Centro in their hometown of Memphis to understand their situation. Centro had been looking for a partner for "a long time" to revamp the Nisco online presence and drive their strategic development and marketing projects.

Nisco brought to the table a "line card" made up of dozens of brands and millions of products.


Customers for industrial MRO products need to replace their parts regularly, and need a trusted source for dependable inventory, easy user experience and great technical customer service.

The combination of a robust website and leveraging the industry "know how" of Nisco's team would be the formula for success.



niscoinc.com was developed on the NopCommerce .NET framework to handle a very large inventory of products (over 2 million).

Custom product comparison tools were implemented to allow customers to easily compare many products at once, simplifying the buying process and enabling a sales opportunity for Nisco who will often navigate a customer to the website directly over the phone.

An advanced site search tool was created to quickly display products to customers based on full or partial numbers or descriptions. This allows customers to control the search "scope" through their choice of a broad or more exact search phrase, benefiting a core segment of the Nisco customer base.

Finally, Nisco proactively marketed their products online through a product feed that can handle over 2 million products, allowing customers who search by part, brand or product type on Google to find Nisco first.
