About the Company

FivePoint is a designer and developer of mixed-use master-planned communities in Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area. These communities make up approximately 40,000 residential homes and 20 million square feet of commercial space

Project Overview

FivePoint wanted to completely re-design their existing intranet site. The site needed to match the updated look and feel of their external client-facing sites. The main function of the site was to provide a central location where employees would be able to easily find any human resources related documents as well as the contact information of their fellow associates

Integration

Password Protected - As an intranet site, FivePointPortal.com needed to be password protected, so that only associates at FivePoint would be able to access it. We created a feature that would allow us to automatically import the contact information of their employees into the directory while simultaneously emailing them their access information for the site.

Searchable Content - The various human resources forms, guides, and benefit information needed to be easily accessible. An intuitive search feature was implemented in the banner of each page, so that employees will be able to retrieve any document they need from any page on the site.

Employee Directory - This feature dynamically populates the employee directory from the user accounts created on the site. This allows for instant updates of employee contact information to the directory. We also added a similar search feature to the one for human resources documents. A visitor is easily able to find the phone number and email address of the associate they are looking for. The entire directory is also exportable to an Excel spreadsheet, so that a user would be able to make custom lists of the contact information they need.

User History - We implemented a feature where users with administrator access have visibility into the login and download activity of each of their associates. This is important because it gives the FivePoint insight on how many of their employees have seen the newest company wide documents.
